The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

(January 19, 2008) Movie producer Kathleen Kennedy returned to her hometown of Redding, California to present a Northstate premiere screening of one of her most recent films, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

The screening took place Saturday night at the historic Cascade Theatre in Redding, California. Proceeds from the event benefited the Cascade Theatre Endowment Fund.

Kathleen Kennedy was accompanied by her two daughters and husband Frank Marshall. Marshall is also one of Hollywood's most successful producers. The couple was recently featured in a story at TIME.com titled Hollywood's Power Couple.

The movie recently won the 2008 Golden Globe Award for
  • BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM
  • BEST DIRECTOR - MOTION PICTURE.

    (Update: January 22, 2008) The movie has also been nominated for four Academy Awards.
