If you need some computer gear while you're in the Shasta Lake area, there's a big electronics store in Redding, California called Best Buy. Other than the two marinas listed below, the next closest Wi-Fi access that I'm aware of would be in the City of Shasta Lake or the City of Redding.
Redding is located about 10 to 22 miles south of the lake depending on what part of the lake you're driving from.
The City of Shasta Lake is just a few miles north of Redding and is a little closer to the lake.
The Starbucks coffeehouses listed below have AT&T Wi-Fi (with free T-mobile roaming) available.

To use the "FedEx Kinko's" or "Tobacco 'N Brew" options (their wired computers) you would probably need to set up a web-based email account of some sort before your vacation. This would allow you to send and receive your e-mail from any computer. You can have your other e-mail addresses forwarded to this account. Many internet service providers also allow you to access your e-mail through the web. Check your internet service provider's home page for details.
Another option for internet access would be through some sort of web-enabled cellphone (or a laptop computer hooked to a cellular phone.) The lake has cellphone coverage in many areas.
There may be other internet access services available in the Lakehead area (Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake). I will be doing some more research on public internet services in the Lakehead area. If you know of any other public internet access that would be handy for tourists, or have some ideas or suggestions, please drop me an e-mail -- I may add it to this page.
